Hong Kong Dog School (HKDS) was established in 2014, dedicated to promoting pet education. The school offers a variety of courses including dog behavioural improvement, obedience training, puppy management and trick dog training, while also focusing on teaching owners to understand their dogs’ body language and behavioural intentions. This approach fosters deeper relationships between owners and their dogs, contributing to a zero abandonment community.
Our Professional Trainer Mr. Lee Wan Hei, Heyton is one of the designated dog trainers by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) in Hong Kong. In addition to cooperating annually with community centers, primary and secondary schools, and kindergartens to impart knowledge and experience of pet care through seminars and workshops, HKDS has innovatively launched a diverse range of programs. These include Personalized Behavior Correction Program; Teenagers Dog Trainer Program (TDTP) and Dog Do-Jo Program.
The Personalized Behavior Correction Program consists of on-site one-on-one training, focusing on behavioral issues.
TDTP is designed for young individuals to experience interacting with dogs, caring for them, communicating with them, training them, and developing a passion for dogs along with professional skills.
The Dog Do-Jo Program is a course that combines Trick Dog training with elements of Taekwondo. The level in Taekwondo are represented by different coloured belt, similar to structure of the Dog Do-Jo. HKDS categorised Trick dogs into various levels, dogs that successfully complete each level and pass the examination will receive a coloured belt corresponding to that level. The purpose of the Dog Dojo is to increase quality time between pets and their owners, strengthen their bond, and effectively reduce behavioral issues.
HKDS will continue to promote the development of pet education through innovative courses and professional services. We look forward to working with the community to create a caring and harmonious environment where humans and dogs coexist.
